    Proposal summary:

    This project will compare several fertility treatments for an organic wheat field where the soil has come to harbor Fusorium pathogens. The field will be treated with composted dairy manure, with and without mineral supplements, and a standard organic fertility treatment of poultry manure, lime, and rock phosphate. The farmer hopes the compost will suppress disease by promoting a healthy soil microbial community while simultaneously fertilizing the soil.
