Proposal summary:
New hardy grape cultivars have recently been developed in the upper Midwest, and the farmer will conduct a three-year trial to determine their suitability to the conditions in Vermont. Eleven of these new varieties will be established, costs will be tracked, and the fruit will be evaluated once the vines are ready to bear. Results will be offered through field days, presentations at growers’ meetings, and through grower newsletters.
