    Proposal summary:

    Eric Rozendall, will evaluate different methods for overcoming a key difficulty in growing globe artichokes in the Northeast: seedlings much be started in greenhouses around March 1st, but due to their long tap root are often rootbound in their pots by the time they are set out. Rozendaal will experiment with root trainers and different starting dates as possible solutions.
